You Don't Need Heart to Win

Poker is a game of emotions. Making decisions with your heart can break the bank. But if you know a little math, then you'll be better off then by playing with your emotions.

Poker odds are probabilities. A probability is basically an outcome based on odds of whats should be the outcome. For instance, if you have pocket rockets then the odds of you getting a set is 2 of 50. The 2 represents the possible As left in the available deck of 50 cards. Now I'm not counting 52 cards because I already have 2 cards in my hands, and that's not deducting the amount of cards dealt to the other players.

The reason why these are probabilities and not actual numbers is because you don't know what the other players have. Another player might have another ace of yours so that would dramatically decrease your odds of pulling a set. Now I know I really dumbed down the topic of poker odds, but you'd be surprise how many players don't even consider the odds. So brush up on your math so you can increase your wins!
